The CompTIA Community Spotlight Awards shine a light on active leadership, outstanding contributions and innovation that have a positive impact on the CompTIA Community and the technology industry in regions around the world. These awards illuminate an aspirational pathway for individual members who desire to give back to the industry and for innovative MSPs, vendors and distributors that are leading in the tech space.
Spotlight Award recipients are selected from CompTIA Community members in leadership categories and company categories. Currently, the Spotlight Awards program is available to members participating in regional groups in North America, the UK and Ireland, and Australia and New Zealand.

Nominations for the North America Spotlight Awards program are open through January 3, 2025.
The Future Leader Award is earned by an individual who is making their mark within a CompTIA Community member organization and has shown success or originality as an entrepreneur or industry professional in a start-up, emerging technology or technology solution focused organization and has made an impact in technology solutions or channel strategy for their company in a demonstrable way.
Candidate must be less than 35 years of age as of March 31, 2025.
The Advancing Women in Technology Leadership Award is earned by a technology professional who is an active leader in the industry as well as their personal network and community. This individual serves as an advocate for women in technology, a role model for others and has made a positive impact on individuals as well as organizations.
The Community Leadership Award recognizes an individual from a CompTIA Community member organization who, in the prior 12 months, demonstrated outstanding service and impacted through their commitment, passion, professionalism, and leadership in assisting CompTIA as it advances the IT industry.
The Industry Advisory Council Leadership Award recognizes a single CompTIA Community advisory council member who has demonstrated outstanding service and commitment in support of our advisory council mission and objectives. The professionalism, leadership, subject matter expertise, and collaborative spirit of this individual embodies the altruistic work of CompTIA to successfully educate and drive the adoption of technology solutions and protocols across the tech industry.
The Cybersecurity Leadership Award recognizes a single CompTIA Community member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership, passion and professionalism in their support for CompTIA Community cybersecurity programs by engaging other members in both discussion and by providing thought leadership around cybersecurity in any of the active cybersecurity program activities over the past 12 months. This leader demonstrates a level of engagement and cybersecurity expertise that is critical for the advancement of the cybersecurity resilience of our members.
The Advancing Diversity in Technology Leadership Award is earned by a CompTIA Community member organization that is actively advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the industry and has a positive impact on the lives and careers of others. The organization is a change maker, transforming lives and/or organizations through a sustained commitment to DEI values.
Must be a CompTIA Community member operating as a solution provider, MSP or other business that offers technology services and solutions to end customers. Nominees must demonstrate leadership, excellence, and innovation toward their organization and clients. Their business operations may include IT support, network management, cybersecurity, cloud computing and other services and solutions. The nominee should serve as a trusted advisor to their clients, offering proactive and ongoing support to optimize technology infrastructure, enhance productivity and address various IT needs.
Must be a CompTIA Community vendor member operating in the technology sector. This award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an innovation or innovative approach that has transformed the organization or the wider industry. Has the company’s innovation contributed to a significant impact on its organization or the industry? Did this company offer a new service that has improved their clients' experience or a product that has had an impact on their customers' everyday lives? This award recognizes the vendor that successfully applied any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organization, company, or industry.
Must be a CompTIA Community distributor member operating in the technology sector. This award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an innovation or innovative approach that has transformed the organization or the wider industry. Has this company’s innovation contributed to a significant impact on the organization or the industry? Did this company offer a new service that has improved their clients' experience or a product that has had an impact on their customers' everyday lives? This award recognizes the distributor that successfully applied any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organization, company, or industry.
This category is for CompTIA Community member organizations that provide services to the tech ecosystem, such as financial, legal, sales, marketing, business consulting firms, academia, training organizations, media, and other not-for-profit technology organizations. The Associate Member Spotlight Award is earned by a member organization that is actively participating in CompTIA Community activities and has had a positive impact on the lives and careers of others. The organization is an engaged and involved member throughout the year.
