Who We Are

CompTIA’s Blockchain & Web3 Advisory Council brings together thought leaders and innovators to identify how Channel partners and clients can leverage blockchain technology in their business cases. With representatives from supply chain consulting, software development and consulting, legal, marketing, educational, business-to-business and business-to-consumer organizations, we are well positioned to address the pain points which can be mitigated by blockchain technology.

What We Stand For

The Council believes the adoption of blockchain technology brings tremendous opportunity—and challenges. We are committed to building the strategies and resources necessary to help any business leverage blockchain to be more successful. We seek to offer guidance on these questions:

  • What is blockchain?
  • What do terms like cryptographic signature, consensus algorithms and distributed ledger technology mean?
  • What are some of the myths (and truths) about blockchain technology?
  • When is blockchain right for your business system?
  • What expertise do you need to implement a blockchain-based system?
  • What are the legal, regulatory and financial implications of a blockchain system?
  • What are some sample use cases of blockchain?

How We’re Making an Impact

The Blockchain and Web3 Advisory Council develops best practices, use cases and other resources that can be used by anyone developing, selling or influencing blockchain solutions. We’re on the front lines evangelizing the technology that’s redefining the concept of currency, disrupting the entire financial industry and shaking up business applications.

In addition, because blockchain is a foundational technology, but not a complete solution, the Council is collaborating with CompTIA’s other industry advisory councils to further study how blockchain can be leveraged throughout the Channel, including by drones, artificial intelligence, business applications and internet of things. Together, we are working to foster greater integration and innovation of emerging technologies.

Curtis O’Neal is an accomplished and forward thinking technology leader, with world-class experience in building transformational teams that executes the vision. He is the Founder & CEO of Cybernetics Global, an innovation-first IT consulting firm that delivers 21st century technology business solutions. From network engineering to cybersecurity to non conventional strategies and more, Curtis possesses a high degree of technical expertise that inspires and brings goals across the finish line. One of his passions amongst many, are Web3, Blockchain, emerging tech and all things Metaverse. Throughout his career, Curtis has gained extensive experience in operations and has an aptitude for understanding cultures, cultivating talent and being a servant leader. He has architected advanced technologies that are now used daily by all and enjoys the process of building with teams and seeing products and projects to their goal.

He is also the President of The Urban Education Project also known as UEP, an organization borne of a necessity to teach, mentor, and coach urban communities to find their purpose. There are many who haven’t had access to technology and Curtis works to level the playing field for the next generation. Bridging the digital divide while fostering life skills to eager students is his way of giving back and paying it forward.

Kaitie Zhee is the founder and CEO of Web3 Cloud X, an advisory company accelerating the transition from legacy data storage solutions to future-proofed decentralized cloud storage using blockchain technology. Kaitie has spent the last several years building DAOs and serving in senior council positions. Prior to her work with DAOs, she founded one of the early blockchain marketing and communications agencies, Spacemade Media, where she’s worked with dozens of the blockchain industry’s leading open-source protocols, projects and entrepreneurs worldwide as well as some F500 companies and government agencies.

Elena as a co-founder of Credivera complements the company’s ability to spot digital identity and credentialing trends across industry boundaries. Previously an executive in software development and sales, Elena built software for the energy and automotive industries in the form of multi-party, open network solutions for business spend management, electronic consumer wallets and ecommerce.

Her passion is growing the capabilities of the next generation of Canadian innovators. She contributes her research and industry knowledge to leading associations such as the CompTIA Blockchain Council, the CIO Strategy Council; as well as entrepreneurial foundations such as the The 51, The Firehood, A100, Platform Calgary, Alberta Innovates and Technovation.

Mr. Henley served as a Board Member at RChain Cooperative, a scalable, smart contract layer-1 blockchain platform.
