The CompTIA Community Spotlight Awards shine a light on active leadership, outstanding contributions and innovation that have a positive impact on the CompTIA Community and the technology industry in regions around the world. These awards illuminate an aspirational pathway for individual members who desire to give back to the industry and for innovative MSPs, vendors and distributors that are leading in the tech space.
Spotlight Award recipients are selected from CompTIA Community members in leadership categories and company categories. Currently, the Spotlight Awards program is available to members participating in regional communities in North America, the UK and Ireland, and Australia and New Zealand.

The Future Leader Spotlight Award is given to a young professional who is making their mark within a CompTIA Community member organisation, who has shown success or originality as an entrepreneur or has made an industry impact in some other demonstrable way. Candidates must be 35 years old or younger as of 26 June, 2024. Candidates must work for a current CompTIA Community member in good standing.

This award recognises an individual who is an active leader in the industry as well as their personal network and community. This individual serves as an advocate for women in technology, a role model for others and has made a positive impact on individuals as well as organizations. The Community Leadership Spotlight Award recognises an individual from a member organisation who, in the prior twelve months, demonstrated outstanding service and impact through their commitment, passion, professionalism and leadership in assisting the CompTIA Community as it advances the IT industry.

The Cybersecurity Leadership award recognises a single CompTIA Community member who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership, passion and professionalism in their support for CompTIA Cybersecurity Programs by engaging other members in both discussion and by providing thought leadership around cybersecurity in any of the active cybersecurity program activities over the past 12 months. This leader demonstrates a level of engagement and cybersecurity expertise that is critical for the advancement of the cybersecurity resilience of our members.

The Advancing Diversity in Technology Leadership award is earned by a member organisation that is actively advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the industry and has a positive impact on the lives and careers of others. The organisation is a change maker, transforming lives and/or organisations through a sustained commitment to DEI values.

This award is earned by a CompTIA Community member solution provider operating in the technology sector. Nominees must demonstrate leadership, excellence and innovation towards their organisation and clients. Has this company demonstrated excellence & innovation towards their organisation and clients? If so, they are a candidate for this award. We are looking for a company that can truly call themselves a solutions provider. Their business must consist primarily of solution services. This can be any or as many of the ‘as-a-service' disciplines as you like. We will only consider companies whose operations include solution services as a minimum of 40% of their overall business.

This award is earned by a CompTIA Community member vendor operating in the technology sector. This award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an innovation or innovative approach that has transformed the organisation or the wider industry. Has the company’s innovation contributed to a significant impact on their organisation or the industry? Did this company offer a new service that has improved their clients' experience or a product that has had an impact on their customers' everyday life? This award recognises the vendor that successfully applied any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organisation, company or industry.

This award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an innovation or innovative approach that has transformed the organisation or the wider industry. Has this company’s innovation contributed to a significant impact on the organisation or the industry? Did this company offer a new service that has improved their clients' experience or a product that has had an impact on their customers' everyday lives? This award recognises the distributor that successfully applied any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organisation, company or industry.

This category is for member organisations that provide services to the tech ecosystem, such as financial, legal, sales, marketing, business consulting firms, academia, training organizations, media and other not-for-profit technology organisations. The Associate Member Spotlight Award is earned by a member organisation that is actively participating in CompTIA Community activities and has had a positive impact on the lives and careers of others. The organisation is an engaged and involved member throughout the year.
